Reality Bites

The Home Office is done. I put up the framed drawing my son did when he was in first grade and I got the new pillow. I think the room looks great and it’s a pleasure to work in.

Reality “bit” when I went to the dentist on Monday. I had a loose filling that needed not to be replaced (because it itself was already a replacement), but a crown. We all know how much $$$ are.

So now I have another crown, and a big bill.

I’ll be sewing later to soothe myself.

I feel for you with the crown, my recent supposed to be crown turned into a root canal before the crown could go on and believe me it took a lot of sewing to sooth that. Have a wonderful weekend sewing!

Oh no! At least it waited until after your office was done? If it happened at any point earlier this year, how many of those changes to your home would have gotten done? Dental work $tinks no matter when it happen$ though.
I love your son's drawing. It's definitely frame & display worthy.

Dental work is SO expensive! Been there and done that (too many times between DH and myself). SO happy you love your made-over office - it really looks great!

Bite carefully, that cost is always pricey, even down here. Lovely room with the wall displaying family talent.

As many before have said, getting old is not for the faint of heart. I've had a small second breast cancer, lost one eye, and had major back surgery during Covid. I don't quilt but I have an artistic outlet that has saved my life through all this... Don't ever give up!

My husband is recovering from 2 extractions of failed crowns so $$$$ and pain are big in our house this week. The sad thing is that they are trying to save a tooth and we have 2 implants on the horizon.

Well, at least you have a gorgeous spot to work in while trying to pay off the dentist bill. I have been there and it is never a good time.

I love the quilt with the color names on it. Is there a pattern somewhere for that?

The office turned from the pit of despair to an oasis of calm and loveliness. I think you’ve used a tension rod to display your colors quilt, what a fabulous idea.

Your office looks great! I need to go to the dentist to get a crown. Here it is not so expensive as in the States, but still....not cheap.
