Quilt in Use

I made this quilt several years ago for my nephew. I told him he could pick out the colors and I would do the rest. He picked Orange and Purple. With those colors, you just have to go all out, so I did. This quilt was inspired by Sujata Shah's book, Cultural Fusion Quilts.

When I gifted him the quilt, he ran around with it, and I took this picture. It's gotta be the best "I love this quilt" ever photo.

My sister says he still sleeps with it every night, "wrapped up like a burrito." That's high praise for any quilt.

It's Nephew's birthday today. Happy birthday kid!

Good birthday, it is mine today also. Love the quilt. Looks like the embers of a roaring good fire- perfect for marshmellows (not that I eat them). Gifting quilts is a magical time.
