Spring is Coming

It has been a hell of a last six or seven weeks for me. (Yesterday my hot water heater fried and died.) Spring is coming, and I am damned good and ready. Here is a spring-y green bird to represent that.

Now that the Defying Gravity quilt is ready for quilting, I'll be working with the student birds. and I can't wait!

You can make your own birds using my tutorial, which you can get here, at my Etsy shop. These birds are not paper pieced, and they are not made with traditional patterns or templates.

love the Green Bird, so apt for the up-and-coming St Patrick's Day.Maybe now the hot water system has done its dash, life will turn around for you.XX from a safer place down in NZ, even though there are many Covid cases in our small town , so far we are staying well. B ut I am aware that could change in a flash or a sneeze.

You certainly have had a full of emotion period. Some very big things but some wonderful little things to remind you that life goes on. I think you need a cooking experience since they do lift your mood so nicely.

Could certainly use spring. Yesterday, a friend of mine gifted me for my birthday a whole box of flower seeds packets. That was a real lift. Not so much the 2" of snow that fell Wed. night.

Life is like that somehow, all of the weird, sad stuff hits at once. Hugs, spring is coming, minimal snow on the ground except where it was piled up.

I hope the water heater was the last of the bad things for you. I'm so ready for spring, even if it means the never-ending battling weeds. Love the green bird, especially the flower eye!

Lynn I always love to see your thoughtful use of fabric. I know you placed that floral print in just the right way to make the center of the purple flower look like an eye! Just perfect! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. I am also damned good and ready for Spring!
