This is George, who was made by Linda from Connecticut, USA. Linda's note, below, explains George's "unique" qualities.
I love the birds I have been receiving, but it's almost better to have the little notes that come with them.
Dorothy, I have no time limit on receiving these. I will make a quilt when I have enough blocks. Ronda says she will send me a block when she puts her garden to bed for the season, so that won't be until October, so you have time to send me a bird block.
And while I am happy to receive ANY bird, if you have customized your birds, I'd like to see those too. I think one of the big advantages of a student bird quilt is showing it to other students, who can see that they CAN do it too!
So! Dorothy, and anybody else, if you want to (and I would LOVE it if you would), email me at PatcheryMenagerie AT Gmail DOT com for my mailing address. A single bird block will fit in a normal envelope and not require much additional postage (in the US).
If you would simply like to make your own birds, you can get my tutorial here at my Etsy shop. It's an instant download, so you can get started right away.
