Change Partners and Dance

Sometimes the best laid plans go astray. This is a perfectly serviceable quilt. It's lovely in its own very unique way. But it doesn't sing for me. Clearly I need to do more tinkering. It may be that this quilt is simply better when made with fabrics that do not have a high contrast, like the Golden Zebras or the Jealousy quilts. This quilt is something you could do with the leftovers.

Or you could make this. This was made with the same blocks as in the first version.

And you could probably figure out other things to do with these blocks. That is my next trick or two.

The first batch of blues have arrived. The blue jealousy quilt will be called SAPPHIRE.

The way you play.......Wow! What a difference from the first arrangement to the second. So much more dynamic and a quilt that stop you in your tracks. You may change it again--you have been known to do that kind of thing, but this design is great!

My opinion is totally irrelevant to your art, but I am ambivalent to the first and the second picture makes my heart sing.

I really like the second one. It is amazing the difference arrangement makes. Can't wait to see the blue one evolve.

I am not crazy about the first picture but really like the second one.

Lovely blues. Our country is in total lockdown, where you were at midnight is where you have to be for 4 weeks, when the status will be re-evaluated. I have ample fabric, lots more threads a few weeks ago, and plenty to occupy mind and hands.

Your headline says "dance," and every time I scroll up or down, the quilts do just that! (Especially the top layout.) I've been sitting here scrolling it up and down for far too long. . .

You already know I like the second layout better -- happy to see that so many others do as well. The neat things is that both layouts were made with the same set of blocks!
