I sewed the top two rows together and rearranged some of the birds, but I wasn't really happy with it.
I moved the blocks to the design wall and rearranged them some more. What bothered me about the arrangement above is that all the blocks with prints were clustered together at the bottom of the quilt. Not working! And in this quilt, the Patriots block seemed out of place.
I rearranged the blocks and the rows and I like this. I set down the printed fabric along the edges so I would know where the edges are and decided I liked it a lot. I will likely use it as a border.
If you want to make some birds, you can get my tutorial here, at my Etsy shop. It's an instant download, so you can get started right away.

I love the bright colours of her birds. They look happy together.
The bottom arrangement looks good, as does that border choice. What, exactly is a Patriot block?
Mrs Goodneedle, it's the block with the New England Patriots logo!
Like the revised layout much more than the first one. And I DO like that border fabric.
