A Spring of Teal

This isn't a new bird, but it's one of the birds that will be in the new bird quilt.

Neither is this bird, but it, and others were the impetus of the title of the new bird quilt, "A Spring of Teal."

The term is from James Lipton's book "An Exaltation of Larks," a delight of a book that ought to be on everyone's summer anytime reading list. Pick it up, open it anywhere and start reading. It's a fun way to while away an hour (or two or three) while lazing about in a hammock, on the beach or the couch.

If you're reading this you'll enjoy these:

A SCOLD OF SEAMSTRESSES.

A PATCH OF QUILTERS.

At any rate, this is what I have now. This arrangement is by no means final.

If you want to make your own birds, your own unique flock, you can get my tutorial here, at my Etsy shop. It's an instant download, so you can get started right away.
