No This Isn't

This is where I am with the Not Paper Pieced quilt. And for all you paper piecers out there, please know that I am not against anything you do. It's just that I am very tired of correcting people who think that's what I do. This quilt does not say paper-piecing is a bad thing, it just says that I don't do it.

And if you think, "well, sure, sweetie, but you're being awfully damned strident about it..." then my answer is you have no idea how many times over the last few years I have had to correct that notion.

At any rate, this is what I have and it looks dark as hell, but it really isn't.

It's going to stay that way because the final edits from Lynne's Liberated Letters are coming in, and I have to tell you my team has hit me with so many outstanding suggestions and observations that I have a lot of work to do. Actually, I have a lot of thinking to do! The tute is already at 104 pages and that number may yet increase a page or two or three!!! I know it's a long wait for those of you who are eager, but trust me when I say it will be worth it. I have received many compliments and positive reviews that my tutorials are clear and easy to understand, and that's because I work really hard at getting it right.

I love paper piecing! And have done several types, fabric on top, fabric on the bottom. I read your posts ever time and I was in no way under the impression that you were trash talking pieces. Love seeing the project and reading about your though process on it.

I do paper piece on occasion but it's not my favorite. I enjoy designing and piecing things myself. Sorry people are driving you crazy. Your tutorial will be wonderful, I'm sure. Happy Easter.

I suspect each person doesn't realize they are the gazillionth person asking if or wrongly stating your work is paper pieced. As a result, they have no clue how "so over it" you are of that question. Are you taking any bets how many people will declare this is paper pieced?? I love that Ghastlies lady with the scissors!

Love those letters, and the row of what seem to me to be paper dolls. Waiting for the tutorial, it will be so worth a wait.
