More Colorado Characters

This is Andrew. He sells hay to P & J. I met Andrew at the local Verizon store when he came in to get a cell phone fixed. My brother, Mom and I were there upgrading my Mom's phone. Andrew was tall and thin, wore a striped shirt and jeans and had a big cowboy hat.

This is Sandi, owner of the Hodgepodge. She is every bit as friendly and cheerful as she looks in this picture.

This is the bird I made to represent Sandi. I wanted the big flowers and the arty fabrics.

This is Amber, who works for Sandi and sells fabrics at the Hodgepodge. (It's practically a quilt shop!)

This is the bird for Amber, green for her blouse and yellow for her blonde hair.

I had thought I would have some flowers in the quilt, and I've made one. I'm not sure about it, but if I do include some, I'll need to have at least three or four more. I thought I wanted a butterfly too, but I'm not sure about that either.

You too can make birds like mine. Get my Bird Tutorial on my Etsy shop, here. It's an instant download so you can get started right away.

REALLY like these three new character birds! And yes, you do need more flowers.

You are getting quite a collection here. Love the way it's looking and I do like the idea of flowers.

Your quilt - your vision, but if it were my quilt there would be more flowers. Love the one here..

Hello Lynne,
Imagine my delighted surprise to see my photo and Amber's on your recent post. We are truly honored to be bird inspirations for you. It was such a pleasure to have you and Mom in our little Hodgepodge this summer. Saw P & J yesterday. They are all flowerful and super busy.

Happy Stitching,
Sandi & Amber
