This morning I spent some time reading your blog backwards. I'm a follower who checks in now and then but I don't actually follow post by past. After spending some time reading backwards I'm thinking maybe I should. Thanks for the inspiration. I am almost brave enough now to free piece something. I love the houses, the birds, and the letters. Not sure where I'll begin. Since I have paper pieced some houses before maybe I'll start with a house or 2, sans paper foundation. If I make a really big house maybe I can make a tiny bird to sit on the roof next. Wish me luck!
Good idea about categorizing the letters - makes it easy to see the concepts and similarities.
I love what you have done as far as organizing the letters by how they are made. Your class will be great!
One other thing that has me puzzled, shouldn't the A be with the green letters? Just asking....
I'm a compulsive reader - cereal boxes, road signs, scraps of paper, anything with print will do. So I spent a while trying to read your 'words' before realising that there were no words which had those combinations of letters - up or down! (Also wonder about the A.)
That is just a brilliant idea! It will make wrapping your head around how to make the letters much easier! Good thinking, Lynn.
