Streaming and Sewing

I can't put it off any longer. It's time to get back to hand sewing the binding on the quilts that have been waiting patiently for me. Now that I have finished the Christmas Boxes flimsy, it's time to get back to the hand sewing.

I can't think of a better thing to do while hand sewing than "watch" TV. Years ago I watched season one of Bosch on Amazon Prime. It's lead, Titus Welliver is the son of artist Neil Welliver. Well, stuck on the couch I decided to see if I could get Bosch Season Two. Indeed I could.

The dangerous thing about streaming TV shows is that one segues right into the other and the next thing you know it's four hours later and there you are parked on the couch.

At least now I don't have to feel guilty about it. I've got PLENTY of hand sewing to do. Which is pretty good, because there are six seasons of Bosch, and I have a lot of catching up to do.

A Little Hand Work

My sewing machine is in the shop for repairs and a tune up. I may have it back later this week.  In the meantime I've been sewing the AQS labels on the back of the Black & White Crayons...

and Too Much Chicken.

Of course Millie had to help.

This is my quilting buddy, Julie Post (who blogs as Joe Tulips, which is an anagram of her name), with Too Much Chicken when it was at the AQS show in Des Moines. Julie is an awesome quilter, and a fellow member of the SSOBB. Thanks for the photo, and the show pin, Julie!

A Little Hand Sewing...

When you exhibit your quilts, they need to have labels with your address and all that stuff.  When you move, you have to make a new label.
So I had to make a new address label for the Black  Box quilt.  As long as I was at it, I decided to add the labels from the AQS shows the Black Box has been shown in.

Chattanooga, Des Moines and Albuquerque.  The Black Box will travel to Syracuse in July. There's a possibility I'll drive five and a half hours to go see it, but the dates are problematic with stuff going on at work. We'll see.

In the meantime, I can check, "sew new label on Black Box quilt" off my to-do list.
