Le Weekend

I went to the New England Quilt Museum over the weekend. I really enjoyed the quilts on exhibit there.

This quilt by Kathy York of Austin Texas was one of the quilts I really liked, but the thing that struck me about this quilt most was...

the back was equally beautiful.

The NEQM also has a really nice gift shop. I saw this dishtowel and simply couldn't resist.

The most surprising part of the day was being GIVEN this sweater by one of the staff at NEQM. I was in the library with my friend Pam and we were talking to the ladies there. One of them, Julie, asked me if I was an artist. I said I was and suddenly she was taking off her sweater and she said, "In that case this is for you." I was thrilled.

I've completed the quilt story of the Fourth of July quilt, and had it printed and bound. The quilt and the booklet are packed and will be shipped out on Tuesday. The recipient doesn't know it's coming. It's going to be a surprise!

Next up is to finish the binding on the Black Abacus Scrap Slab Triangle quilt.

very cool on the sweater and also how they displayed both sides of the quilt.

SO glad you made it to the museum - beautiful displays of beautiful quilts. I cannot imagine how gobsmacked you were when that lady handed you the sweater - it is absolutely perfect for you.
