You all know how I rotate the quilt on my dining room table every month. I also rotate the quilts that live on my couch. But for the last year or two I have had my own quilts hanging above the TV.
But today I put Wanda Hansen's quilt back up on the wall.
I watched the Gentlemen's final at Wimbledon earlier. My favorite player, Roger Federer, has now retired and he has been replaced by today's winner, Carlos Alcararaz, a 20 year old wonder from Spain. He came to my attention two years ago and I've been following him ever since. Nothing about the match was a foregone conclusion. It was a hell of a match, even though Alcaraz lost the first set 1-6! One of the things I found most interesting was Championship Point. Very often, eventual winners need two or three Championship Points before they win. Not Alcaraz. He won on the first try. Amazing.
Lastly, a bit of fun.
They are machine washable, but you can't put them in the dryer. So I figured out how to hang them in the sun. So instead of Air Jordans, I have Air Skechers.
And something not fun at all: mice chewed the drainage tube of my dishwasher and caused a lot of water damage on the floor in my kitchen. Now the dishwasher sits near the edge of the living room (you can see it over to the left in the photo above). The repairs are in process, and until it's all fixed I have to wash the dishes by hand. Big sigh.

I remember you getting the cool red shoes. Sorry about the mouse damage and WHOA those parsley leaves!
I think everyone in our family has at least one pair of Skechers, Hugh has just worn his very first pair out, the soles parted from the uppers after many years of hard wear. I have plain navy and a sparkly navy/purple pair.!!!Love the red. and the dishwasher, no worriers about a power cut there !!!
See you need a kitty to keep the mice away!
I’m envious of your rain. Hopefully we will get some this weekend when the high dome moves away.
