Presenting... "Waltzing Matilda"

Here it is. I really like it. The individual blocks are 6" so the flimsy is 60" x 72".

I'm pretty sure this quilt knows where it is going to live when it's done, and it's a surprise, so don't ask. I've ordered the backing fabric already.

Love those twists.

Love it---I have also done this from Sujata Shah--did a class for this in Sisters OR. But have done many classes with her in WA. I hope my guess is right as to where this beautiful quilt is going. (and it's not my house.) :-(

It reminds me of how an image looks reflected on water when the surface is slightly disturbed by a breeze. Very nice finish.

Yes yes yes -- it is lovely! I think it should be called "Monet."

You really put that one together fast! I love the colors in it and it sure has a beautiful impact.

Absolutely beautiful! I like the two rings of "busy" greens on either side of the plainer greens. And the center pink/red/ mauve is lovely. I can only imagine the impact the quilt must have when seen in person.

Wow, is it my imagination or is this the fastest from idea to completed top EVER? It looks so cheerful!!!

Somebody's going to be happy! And it does need a new name.

I think I need to pull out Sujata's book for inspiration for DS's quilt (in planning stages) that would be good for white-grey-black, with reds and maybe a bit of blues. Something modern-ish. And easy and fast since it will be king size :-O

Your combination of fabrics in this one is stunning. A lot of movement in the low volume prints and the best combination of color, pink and green.
