I threw the first blocks up on the design wall, partly to see how they would look and partly because those long diagonal edges are all on the bias, and in blocks like this, the less they are handled, the better.
This can give you an idea of the scale of the thing.
I am already in love with this.
I have decided to write a tutorial about this quilt. My only struggle is the template for the big triangles, and at 9-1/2" x 18-1/2", they are BIG. I will figure it out, but not before Christmas!

Oh good! I have been patiently waiting for that to come about! Im sure many have asked! Im sure you can do like the clothing patterns do and make them so they are two pieces you need to tape together.
