The Pit of Despair

Normally my studio is not the Pit of Despair, but when it is messy like this, I just don't want to go into it. I have a lot to do, and most of it is happening outside the studio. So I have to look at this for a bit longer.

On the bright side, however...

Lynne's Liberated Letters Tutorial is coming along splendidly and I am VERY excited about it.

Phew!!! Fabric everywhere and not a scrap to be found that is the VERY one you want.

For me this is when I realize that creativity will be stifled unless I take care of business. It takes time but is very necessary.

That pit of despair would make me super unhappy - I would have to get in there and start picking up, folding, and re-stacking fabrics even if I could only manage 5-10 minutes at a time. Creativity really IS messy!

Wow, this looks like my sewing space after a particularly challenging search for the right fabrics for the "in a hurry to get this finished" project! It's a definitely drain on the let's get in there are work on something urge.

Lynne, love those scrap slab triangles...clever. And our pits are very similar. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who can make a mess of a tidy room!

Thanks for showing this honestly. We all have our times like this - well, maybe not all, but many of us do! Totally understandable - especially for someone as creative as you.
