Oh My Freaking Whatever! There is such family drama going on around here right now I want to scream. It has me tied up in knots and I am so seriously NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!
I tell you this so you will know that I have not fallen off the edge of the earth, but that I have been stupidly DISTRACTED from doing anything worthwhile while this crap is flying around. Honestly, it's a good thing I don't drink or I'd get myself good and drunk.
And my friends, NO! You will NOT get to hear what it is. It is not life-threatening or anything drastic, but it is annoying the hell out of me and I have to find a way out of this because I am tired of wrestling with it and having it suck up every available minute of my brain's free time. To soothe myself I have been reading beach books one after another in rapid succession.
Anyway, the world will continue on and when this big mess dies down I shall be back blogging and sewing and doing something wildly (or not so wildly) creative and messy.
Maybe the time is ripe for me to make a free pieced four letter word a few dozen times to express my frustration. Yes. THAT four letter word. I use it frequently but have never been brave enough to put it in fabric.
So fear not. I'm not dead and I'm not ignoring you. I'll be back.

Oh my, sorry to hear this; and hope the Sugar Honey Iced Tea phase is over soon.
Dear Lynne,
sorry to hear that there are such bothers in your life at the moment. I have been through some troubles in the past couple of years too and it can be all consuming. I am sure though that things will settle and I hope you are able to return to your fun things soon.
Hugs

Hang in there. Hope the .... is over soon.
HUGS!
total bummer. The only family I see you talk about here is your son/DIL/GD and I seriously doubt this involves them.
Take good care. I'll have a drink for you after work!
You're correct Elle, it is NOT my Son, DIL or GD, thank goodness.
Definitely time for some serious fabric therapy sessions. Sew those crumbs into slabs and then cut up more pieces to make more scraps and just keep stitching. Let the hum of your machine help soothe those frazzled nerves -- after you go for a nice long drive to let your mind settle. Sending hugs.
We've all been there and survived. Not your circus, not your monkeys, maybe? I too HATE drama. We're with you! Peace. (I think your quilt with the four-letter word would do wonders for you. And we'll buy the pattern.)
The people you love most have the easiest time dancing on your last nerve 'cause they know just where to look for it. I hope things smooth over soon.
Take a couple of deep breaths, say a prayer, and look for the light at the end of the tunnel. It is there, it might take awhile but it is there. Hugs to you and yours
Hang in there. This too shall pass. Sending good thoughts your way.
Think a Fix Up Crazy Kin swear word quilt sounds really good. Get all the different words for the same thing and create a Masterpiece! Bet you would feel good when it was finished! The Irish say Fix Every Crazy Kin, and I am sure there are many more euphemisms for the same word. Cheers from Western Australia.
Hang in there, this too shall pass. And, hey, it’s my favorite four-letter word, too. I’ll piece it into a small wall-hanging if you will. muahahahaha
Cathy, you’re on!
It's hang time now. Pace yourself and keep from falling down a rabbit hole. Many families have drama flare ups from time to time. Keep your perspective, keep prayerful, de-stress and hang in there. This too shall pass.
I call that the Crazy Train at MY house. Usually the drama starts with my daughter. I just sit back and wait for the train to pull out of the station and refuse to refill water and coal.
xx, Carol
Family drama sucks. We all have some from time to time. Sorry it is your time
Family can be the most gratifying part of life or it can just drive you bats**t crazy. Here's hoping that whoever can't get along over some trivial thing gets over themselves soon!
I feel your pain and have been there. Family drama can be so destructive. I hope yours's ends soon very smoothly.
