In addition to all the usual weekend stuff, I cut this big stack of 4" x 11" strips. I don't know how many there are, but there are at least 200. They will be transformed, but not right away.
I've been spending a lot of time in the yard. I planted three tall ornamental grasses on the side of the driveway, and I also planted a Yukka plant and some ground cover (Veronica) there. Tall Phlox and Peonies (pronounced "pee-ah-knees" around here) are already planted there. Next year I'll need to add more Veronicas. Aside from some mulch, that small area is done.
The front yard will need a complete overhaul. There is a lot of that garden cloth spread underneath everything, and stuff has grown through it and some weeds have taken over large chunks. But there is a lot of good stuff there. I don't know what and where so that will stay as is this year. I have added a small dogwood bush and a few plants in pots near the front steps. Getting the whole thing the way I want will be a multi-year project, so it's one step at a time.

The gardening sounds terrific, Lynne. Looking forward to seeing some pics in due course.

Ptretty colors in those strips!
I haven't been out scratching around in my gardens yet... I am consumed by robot-y things, but when I do I will have to move my "pee-own-ee". Hopefully it won't set it back too much, it was a piece of my aunt's, so it's kinda special!
Cheers to Spring and dirt under our nails at last!
