Decisions, Decisions...
Not quite sure how I will arrange the words. I shouldn't even be worrying yet as I still have two more words to make. I want the very last word to be CHOCOLATE because I think it will be a fun surprise when you get to the end.
I was at the LQS this past Saturday and it hit me... I'm going to have to find an appropriate backing fabric for this quilt!
Should be interesting.

That is not an easy decision to make! All the LOs you have shown look so pretty :)
I think I like the middle one a little better than the others....but that may change when you add the last 2 words ;D
Going out on a limb here: I'm thinking (with what I know) that you should work with photo #3, inserting your 'white' word between malachite and goldenrod OR goldenrod and persimmon and your 'brown' word between vermilion and nighthawk (suspect NIGHTHAWK will become your 'bottom' word since night is the end of the day and NIGHTHAWK offers a sense of closure to the adventure. Also because the warm tones resolve into the darkness just like the colors of day deepen then dissipate into the night. Besides, think about savoring hot chocolate before bedtime and all . . .).
IMHO ... time will tell
Re: backing ... wait and see. Not time yet.
love these so much. my favorite option so far is #2 - just really like the color flow on that one.
I have to agree with Tonya. I like the 2nd version the best. It seems to follow the color wheel order.
