The Needle in a Haystack quilt is a flimsy. Here it is, above. You can click the photo and then click again for a closeup.
After a couple of false starts I decided not to have a border, and will instead use that lovely floral I showed the other day as the backing and binding.
I have gone shopping for fabric online and have done some stash replenishing, particularly yellows and oranges, were a bit thin on the shelf.
I still have lots of scraps and an idea based on the Kangamangus quilt, so I will be tinkering with that design to see where else I can take it.

The needle has vanished and now is a paler blue with white spots. what happened to it?
This quilt is so pretty, happy stitching!
Woo hoo! It’s a finish and a fun one with the hidden purple triangle. In the gaming world aren’t those little unseen things called Easter eggs? Maybe you should see how many Easter eggs you can hide in a quilt ;-)
There's an odd serenity to this flimsy. And the glorious blue bird symbolizing your Etsy shop seems to be looking at it with satisfaction.
Maybe it's the weather forecast - I get chilly looking at this one. Cold, bright blue skies, snow...a fantastic winter quilt.
I found the needle! This is a lovely, serene, classically simple (hah!) quilt top - the floral backing will make it even better. Very happy you ditched the border plans.
