The Class of 31

I figured out how to put the rest of the birds together. Here I am assembling the last panel.

This is the result of the photo above. Now I just have to add the tall bird with the knobby knees at the far right.

This is it! The first Student Bird quilt flimsy is complete. There are 31 birds in this one, so it's name for now is "The Class of 31," unless somebody comes up with a  better idea.

If you want to make birds, you can get my tutorial here at my Etsy shop.

Love it and Class of 31 is significant and therefore perfect.

I love how you assembled the wide variety of birds in this quilt, Lynne! To me, it looks like they are having a confab, sharing stories as they joyfully emerge together into spring.

Because I had just finished Violet's quilt with the birds and butterflies, I can imagine how hard it is to get all those blocks to work together. Anyways, it was difficult for me. Looks wonderfully pieced.

Great name for the quilt - so many ways to interpret that phrase (actual number, how the graduates turned out later in life, etc.).

You have turned them into a cohesive whole, catting with friends and siblings from another mother.
