It's my birth month, and that means I have to register my car and get it inspected. So on Saturday I brought my car to the dealership. I prefer to wait in their "Quiet Room."
I brought the Fifty-Eight Carats quilt so I could finish sewing the hanging sleeve.
I brought my little mending kit with me. It has everything I need.
It's a chocolate tin. Pretty sure I bought it because I thought the tin was cool, not just for the chocolates inside.
Setting the quilt on the dark gray carpet really shows off the multicolor binding.

I love all your quilts but today looking at this one I am in awe. The colors are fantastic and you are right about the binding.
Wow, does that quilt pop on the background! Super job!
Spectacular! I love your tin sewing kit…I’ve been known to purchase things just for the tin, too.
Beautiful! I love having handwork that is portable just for instances like this. Here in Ky we have to register our vehicles and pay taxes yearly but we don't require inspections. Is an inspection an extra expense on top of the registration?

Wish my current car dealer had a quiet room.
Just GORGEOUS!!!
Never in all my years have I taken a car for service of any kind where I would feel comfortable laying anything on the carpet! That quiet room has to be the cleanest one I've ever seen! (beautiful quilt, BTW)
In WA we don't need a car inspection unless it is is being brought in from another state. But when I bring my car in for servicing at the dealer, I always bring a quilt with me so I can stich the binding on while I wait. Makes for some interesting conversations :-)
What a precious chocolate tin! I'd buy it too, just for that and have the num nums as extras! Oh, and beautiful quilt by the way.
Happy upcoming birthday! That quilt is gorgeous - and making the binding while waiting for your car to be inspected would make the task more worthwhile. We don't have to have our cars inspected here.
