Bird & Bits

It never takes me long to make a bird, any letter once I decide what fabric I will use, and how I want to use it. Getting there, however, takes some time.

Here is the bird. Right now he is sitting on the P of the word Picnic.

Here is a heart. I haven't got the hearts "wired." I still struggle with them.

I like my hearts irregular, and different from each other. I like this group of three hearts.

This is everything all together. Because I am sure you are wondering, the word SUNSHINE is 38" wide.

In other news I got the crown for my implant last week and was more than just a little shocked to discover it cost three times as much as I thought it would. It was rather demoralizing.

Maybe your crown has a relation in the Royal Family. Love the bird and the letters.

Dentistry is so expensive. My husband retired a few years ago and we have no dental insurance. It is out of pocket. So when I need a crown or a root canal or implant, I pray we don't need to replace an appliance that year. Just blows out and emergency funds we have. I love your letters and hearts. Quirky

I don't understand why dentistry is not considered health care, but extra outside. It is always a shock to get the bill. When my husband needed crowns, he went to the dental school in our area where the students do practice work. The head dentist inspects and grades their work, so he was able to get a lot done much more reasonable although it took much longer. Love the bird and words!

Ouch for your budget! The happy quilt components are looking really good.

I also finally got the crown for my implant and it was double what a crown had previously cost. My dentist had no income for five months and then had to buy a lot of expensive equipment in order to reopen, plus he had to allow space between appointments for cleaning, etc. So I understood the increased cost. But it still hurt the checkbook! I love where this quilt is going. It's what we all need right now.

Instead of the butterfly, why don't you put a little heart on the i in the word "sunshine"? It would be the "dot on the i".
It's not good spending money on the dentist. Spend your money on fabric!
I adore your work!
