One Bite At a Time

Woo Hoo! The border of NOs works just the way I imagined. It will be fine tuned, but you get the drift. I shifted PIECED up a bit closer to PAPER and that will work. Naturally that affected the border of NOs, but that's hardly an insurmountable problem.

Speaking of which....

You all need to remember that back when I started this quilt, I only had half an idea of what I was going to do, and that my modus operandi is that I figure it out as I go. I only half jokingly call what I do, "Quilting Without a Net." It requires Faith. As in, "Leap. A net will appear." So when you look at it THAT way, and remember all the things I made and then changed, it's not surprising I worked my way through over five yards of background fabric. (I found, and ordered more.) Ask my why I never encountered this before? Because I used WOWs interchangeably.

I did something big and something little here. I re-made the word IS. I got rid of the busy background, and wow, what an improvement. THIS will happen tomorrow, after I get my hair cut after work.  The Little thing is I lowered the bird on the lower left. I think I want him sitting on the letters.

And I'm still not sure about the empty space above the grouchy lady's head. But hey, how do you eat a whale? One bite at a time.

Elizabeth, Millie is indeed well. She meows at me (actually it's more like a chirp) to sit down on the couch so she can snuggle up next to me each day. I give her scritches and she purrs. I find it's stress relieving for the both of us.

Looking good! I was going to suggest you more Paper and Pieced closer together but you knew that too and you certainly don't need one thousand or more people telling you what they think you should do...you know what to do all by yourself (and maybe Julie too). Keep on stitching!
