I hate working under a deadline. I am supposed to have the letter tutorial all done by May 4th, and I am just not sure I will have it ready to my exacting standards by then.
Reason? I'm TIRED! I've been working on this thing in every free moment, and I'm running on fumes. Not good. I feel like this grouchy lady in the picture above.
SO! The students in my class will certainly get a copy of the tute, but it won't be perfect. I'll send them perfect versions after class when the tute is ready.
In the meantime, I need to sleep, clean the house and recharge my batteries.
I also think I am going to make a word quilt around this lady that says, "NO, THESE LETTERS ARE NOT PAPER PIECED."

Lynn - I think that approach is perfectly acceptable. Already the draft tutorial is a very rich resource, and for students to subsequently receive a copy of the final version will be sensational.

Your take on how to approach the tute for the May 4 class/Etsy release is much healthier for you. You are so right that you do need to take a bit of a break (if nothing else but to get a better perspective) and have time to catch up on the rest of your life. And YES YES YES you do need to make that "NOT paper pieced" quilt!
Lynne, take care of yourself. You're pushing too hard, and I'm glad you easing up on your deadline.
What a great idea for your not paper pieced word quilt!
You need to take a rest. If I lived close, I'd help you clean up the sewing studio. Cleaning has so many decisions to make that it is very tiring. Don't let your cat catch you cranky- they will amp up their craziness.
You need a T-shirt that proclaims "NO, THESE LETTERS ARE NOT PAPER PIECED"; better yet, a sleep shirt right now. Get some rest, you deserve it.
Take some down time. Do the chores, cuddle with Millie, get some extra sleep. Then move forward.
Love the quilt idea!
Damn good idea!!! I’ll have to do that and then wear it to class when I teach!
