I'm still not feeling the love with these trees. I like several of them individually, but as a group, they aren't singing for me yet. I've been using fabrics from my stash, and it might be a good idea for me to do some stash replenishing. I'll keep playing with this, partly because I have also cut fabrics to make some smaller trees, and because I have a stack of fabrics on my cutting table that aren't represented in the photo above.

The Trees in the Forest

They are too perfect add some wonky...maybe a wonky house in the trees or one of your birds :0)
This is probably just me, but the bluey-red shades aren't saying fall to me.
Definitely need rearranging - but you know that. You'll find a solution that leaves us all awestruck but I'd probably add some small fillers like checkerboards, geese, pinwheels. What you choose will be even better.
Same thoughts here - and compared to your other quilts, this one is still feels stark and overly-simplistic.
I would be adding different size trees here and there, some 2 times the size, some 1.5 times the size and maybe a few teeny tiny ones too.
Can't really add any more than the previous three commenters, but I do love the red tree trunks!
Well, I’m new here - been quilting for 30 years. 💖 and from St J, Vt. Born in Hanover.
I love your piece, actually and wouldn’t change it. Love the splashes of Orange.
I love tree quilts very much. When I look at this one it is, I'm afraid to say, depressing. It is the colors; the trees are mostly dark. I would love to see some bright trees with some little houses mixed in. Just my opinion. take care ~~rita
