First Autumn Tree

C'mon! You really didn't think I was going to make a plain green tree first, did you?

The colors in my part of New Hampshire are just beginning to turn and so I have been paying attention to what they look like. A lot of tree blocks have light backgrounds and dark trees, and then the reverse, but I want my autumn trees to look like real trees I see around here, which is yellow or orange or RED up against the green of the trees surrounding it, so that's what my fabric trees will look like. Which means that the big leafy print in this tree will NOT be making an appearance as a background to another tree.

What I WILL do, however, is sew the two side triangles together to make an entirely new autumn tree. Stay tuned.

Oh that feather tree is lovely--and I like the background print--nice and widely spaced...hugs, Julierose

You - your version is going to be stunning. I knew you would not do the two at a time reverse versions!

Thanks for the wonderful share. We love the beautiful look to it. Glad you didn't go with just a plain green tree. We love that the leaves are starting to change colors around here also. Have a great rest of your weekend.

You should pay homage to the trees that stand bravely by themselves and change colors with a few with a blue sky background. I watch your processes and learn from them. Thanks.
