As you can see, Glorious has arrived at its forever home with Julie, who has put together a story of this quilt, that you can read here.
Does Julie look happy? You bet she does. Her expression tells it all. It tells the real reason why we make quilts. We make quilts to show love. Julie is my best pal, my best friend and when she said a Diamond quilt would be pretty in Spring colors, I immediately wanted her to have one, and told her so. The result is the quilt, Glorious, a collaboration between friends. The best kind of quilt, ever.
Sometime later this summer there will be a tutorial about this quilt. In the meantime, you can check out the "short" version here.

Happy faces are the best reward for quilt making, no? Looking forward to the tutorial, but there may be some playing with the info you've already shared. Thanks for your generosity in this way.
Oh, yes - I do indeed like/love/cherish my quilt. And you are so right about WHY we make quilts!
Fabulous quilt, happy photo!
This quilt is beautiful. I reread your posts as you created it: better than a pattern. Very helpful advice for someone who wants to make their own. Thank you for taking the time to document your process so thoughtfully.
I'll bet you both are gloriously happy! It's a beauty for sure.
