Après Moi, le Déluge

(Translation: after me, the flood)

The studio is clean. The scraps have been sorted and put into their bins and the clutter has been cleared away.

The tables are clear and the robot vacuum cleaner has made a tour of the room sucking up fabric bits, thread scraps, loose pins and all the rest.

The design wall is empty and all the fabric is back where it belongs (yeah it needs to be organized, but hey, one thing at a time.)

Everything waits on THIS BOX to arrive at my house. THIS BOX, and NO OTHER BOX contains the fabric that Julie and I selected for her Glorious quilt along with her choices for the four patch diamonds and the medium diamonds. The fabric has been washed, so it will be ready for me to work with it. (It's due tomorrow.)

And somewhere in Julie's' quilt will be this medium sized diamond, representing me, her dark haired friend, at my sewing machine, because every quilt tells a story.

Yup, I'm ready.  Let the creating begin.

Great to start with a clear space and and a clear wall- even if it takes a lot of elbow grease to get there.

This is the first chapter of a wonderful story, I hope you keep all your words and photos and put them together at the end. Love that fabric so much.
