While in Colorado I visited Amato's, a wholesale florist, and I took lots of pictures. Here are a couple of birds based on some of my favorite photos.
This bird was based on one of the photos of Gerber Daisies.
I loved the Orange ones best.
.
One of my favorite photos of the whole trip was the photo I took of bucketfuls of purple Alliums. I chose fabrics that reminded me not only of the purple colored flowers, but their round shape, and I used the striped green fabric in the beak to suggest the tall stems of the flowers.
My SIL says brides don't want Alliums in their bouquets because they smell like onions.
If you want to make some birds, you can get my tutorial here, at my Etsy shop.

Your bird squares make me smile...thank you!! You inspire me.
I think the purple bird and the inspirational alliums are gorgeous (and yes, the alliums do have an odor about them).
It's always a treat to see which fabrics you choose. I must look for more wild stuff myself.
Congratulations on another gorgeous finish. Love red binding.
