My DIL loved this quilt from the moment I started making it, and it was pretty much destined for her right from the start. Looking at this photo I am really, really pleased I laid out the blocks the way I did.
This was taken under the pier. Gosh, in this photo my DIL looks like a queen and the quilt is a regal cape. My granddaughter is pretty cute too!
My DIL wrote, "I love it so much. It [the quilt] looked fantastic on the beach but it will probably never hit sand again. It's already been washed and is getting ready to be put on the bed."

So lovely beyond words!!! What a delight to see them there, and so happy,
Wow. Wow. Wow. The most fabulous beauty shots ever!! Your quilt looks AMAZING 😃 And your little family is just beautiful. Your heart must be full up.
Happy Happy. Beautiful shots of a beautiful quilt and a beautiful family.
"Beauty shots" is right! What lovely pictures of your family and your quilt. And if your daughter in law is a queen, that makes your granddaughter a princess, which seems entirely appropriate.
Omigosh - that photo under the pier is too awesome for words. Priceless - beautiful - perfect !!!
Wow! They are beautiful, and clearly, this is why you quilt! Perfect is a great word to describe these photos!
So much beauty in every picture - the gorgeous quilt, the beautiful smiles and your grandbaby takes the cake. Love everything about this post.
Such a pretty quilt and what a blessing to have it so well matched and appreciated!
