This bird is a ballerina. In fact, she's a Prima Ballerina! She's damn good, and not only does SHE know it, but we do too. She's a real beauty. She lives in The Big City, as pertains to her profession, she keeps herself in great shape.
I am sure Megan knows a lot more about her than I do.

Well, Lynne, I've got to admit that Miss Perdita Pacquette is the first prima ballerina that I've ever known. She's pretty, pert and petite, and absolutely passionate about ballet. She lives in a palatial apartment downtown - perfect for popping out to the patisserie when she feels peckish. She's perplexed by the petulance that prima ballerinas are apparently known for; she, herself, is patient and personable at all times - indeed, some have even described her as too pleasant and placid to be the star of a ballet company. They believe the prima ballerina should be proud - even provocative. That said, she can be just plain downright picky about the way her feathers are styled prior to a performance - so there's definitely some pride in there, which comes from being, as you say, 'damn good'.
I don't know much about her personal life. I have heard, however, that she enjoys painting and collects pit-fired pottery from Peru. She also has a pampered pet parrot named Percy, who possesses the world's most peevish squawk.
I've searched for more particulars about Miss Pacquette on Google, but it seems that she prefers to remain pretty private.

As I said, Megan, you are really in the know. Your description is PERFECT!
hugs,
Lynne
What a great description for this lovely and perfectly poised ballerina bird.
Alliteration at its finest, love it all!
Once upon a time there was a very little blonde haired, blued eyed boy who used to come for haircuts...he was confident, curious, and happy; a joker from the day he was born...great kid. It was unclear if he couldn't yet pronounce my name or just decided I needed a new name. He called me Ballerina for years.
It was adorable.
This bird? Also adorable.
Love that wing!
