Pissed Off

Last night I decided to hang the flannel for the design wall. I got out all my tools and materials and got to work.

This was as far as I got. The electric stapler kept skipping staples, then wouldn't fire at all.  After repeated attempts to get it to work, I noticed the spring that kept the staples in line was not connected at one end. Nothing I did got it to work.  Frustrated, I took it apart.

I almost got it back together, but then something came apart and before I could notice how it went together properly. I can't get those two little pieces where they belong. So there it sits.

It's not an expensive stapler, and a quick look at Amazon and Home Depot tells me it has terrible reviews. Oh well, I've had it over 7 years so I guess I can't complain. I'll have to get another one.

Argh. And to think I could have been sewing instead!

Aghhhh... I hate it when I get something almost back together and then a piece I did not take apart springs off and I have no worldly idea how to put (that piece) back together.
Although I have to say a couple of times "YouTube" has had the whole process on line.

Nothing is more frustrating than having time that could have been spent sewing sabotaged by mechanical failures. You gave the repair a good try & buying a new one was a much better investment of your time & money. Of course once you get your design wall up fate also will dictate that you won't need to used the stapler for another or 6 years. Fate is funny that way. It makes the things you rarely use go kaput during one of the few times you need them.

Time to put it away and pick up a kitty instead, they never have leftover parts.

I hate when that happens!

I have two different ones and they both s**k! I feel your pain and frustration! Why can't they just 'work'?!
