The smell of lilacs is like no other...it was my mothers favorite flower. What a beautiful picture Lynne. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
Mine are just starting to bloom. They are right outside the window to my sewing room so I can usually smell them when they are in bloom. One of my favorite flowers.
We had purple and white lilacs growing in our yard when I was a little girl . . . I thought they had the most wonderful fragrance of all the flowers my mom grew (her peace roses were in second place).
Some scented-memories last forever!
I'm so jealous!
Our spring is so late ours haven't started to bloom yet. Mum loves the smell of them too.
I love lilacs. They are a happy memory from growing up in Ohio. Too warm in the winter here in AZ except in the high country for lilacs to thrive. Recently took a trip out of the Valley of the Sun up to Jerome, AZ and got an extra special treat - a lilac bush in bloom. Total Excitement!!
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
Your house must smell amazing!
