I was really worn out from the marathon sewing session with my sister on Saturday, so I didn't get much done yesterday. I moved the letters over to the design wall in the dining room. The word spacing needs a tiny bit of fine tuning, but overall I am happy with it.
I also worked up an exclamation point for my rules quilt. As for the exclamation mark... I had to add more cats!
I'm not quite sure about the "dot," though.

Love it! You have a very smart son with a great eye for what the rules needed.
the dot is cute! I love the letters, but the exclamation point is out of scale to me. add some more length at the top of it maybe?
Love the exclamation mark ...
I agree with Tonya re vertical height of the top portion. It could be a bit taller - or maybe on more of an angle so the height differenc isn't so quick to be noticed?
I'd also probably try to add a bit of darkness to the lower edge of the dot to give more relative weight (maybe a bit of the same piece used at the lower edge of the cat trio?).
LOVE how you fussy cut these!
Soooo cute! And your son was right - you needed "more fun" the rest is just the prelude to a lot of fun.
This is too cute, it really is. Love the quilter, love the cats!!!
I think the dot is perfect.
