I love to watch Tennis. This morning Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are playing in Madrid, and it's being televised on the Tennis Channel. I only get the Tennis Channel on the TV in the living room. So how can I watch and get something constructive done?Set up the ironing board in there, and use the time to press the scraps and bits I've stuffed in the little bins.
Yes, I'm crazy, I admit it.

I totally iron my scraps, too. Every time I am doing it, I think, "I am a crazy person. This is ridiculous." but, I still do it because it makes me happy. Love to see the photo of yours, too. (And hey, at least you got something productive done!)
If keeping busy while watching TV is crazy, I'm right there with you!
I love how creative and thoughtful quilters can be. I hate just sitting and watching tv. what a waste of time! But if I can do something else, then I feel justified in sitting down to rest.
Think we are all crazy. We cut it up then we sew it back together again. So what harm is a little ironing in front of the telly.
I admit to being crazy, too. That Protestant Work Ethic is alive and well here! I love setting up the ironing board, or a small table for cutting, or doing some handwork while I watch TV. My next goal is to learn to knit so that I have at least one more thing to occupy while my hands.
Our liveing room tv is behind and around the corner from my sewing cave. So when Dh and Ds set up my sewing cave they hook up a tv on the end of my table to the satellite so I can watch the same as what is going on in the liveing room. I'm not sure I CAN sew with out tv. I also press and iron all my scraps with a table top ironing mat on my sewing table right next to my sewing machine. No you are NOT Crazy lol
I dislike ironing 100% ... it needs ironing, I don't own it.
