The first part of Saturday was terrific. I went to Night Owl Quilting Studio, my LQS, which had a whole lineup of demos and games. It was great fun, but I forgot to take pictures.
I bought this thread cutter, which has now become my favorite quilting gadget.I have 73 unique fabric pair combinations. Here they are on the design wall. Some may work better than others, but I can't tell unless I see them all together.
The fabric for the backing has arrived and is currently making the trip through the washer and dryer. I think this quilt is going to be good.
Although a fall doesn't sound like a big deal, if you are a bit older, like I am, and you smack your head and some ribs, you are considered to have suffered a trauma, and you have to take it easy. I don't have my usual energy. I've been taking it easy and taking naps. At my age my body will need more time to recover, so I'm not trying to hurry anything along.

It’s hard accepting that my body isn’t as young as my mind says it is but you are wise to give yourself time to recover from your fall. I’ve been keeping a casual eye out for an accessory cane, not a necessary cane, I want one that is unique with a lovely form. When I find one, I’m going to think of it as an accessory and start using it because I want too!
to Cherie (and others) re: using a cane (accessory or necessary versions) - BE SURE IT IS THE CORRECT HEIGHT so you don't harm your shoulder (ask me how I know this!).
Glad you are taking time to rest - yes, the shock to the system is traumatic and I'm glad you were reminded of that. The purples are wonderful - you will have fun arranging them when the time comes.
