Birds at MQX Manchester

We had a good time making birds at the MQX show in Manchester yesterday.

 The place was really hopping.

I thought to myself, "wow, I've arrived!"

More on the birds later!

I'm so glad that it went well, Lynne, and I'm pleased that you figured that you'd "arrived". I think many of your blog readers would say that you'd arrived well and truly before this!

Looking at the smiles and birds, I would say it was a " Truly raving success" if that sound appropriate. Not quite superlative enough in my eyes, but you are there!!!

I wanted to go to an MQX Show for a while now. Maybe next year. At least I will know someone there......

Yesterday I attended your lecture at MQX, and first wanted to thank you for your presentation and share with you that you were the inspirational source of a quilt I completed last spring. While at a quilt retreat I found your free tutorial for the birds, and proceeded to play. I asked my fellow guild members to contribute to the flock if they needed a break from their project. Once I got home, I continued the playing and pieced the saying and quilt.

I would love to share a picture of the quilt with you. Please send me your email address. PS I was the attendee who recommended that you submit your work to QuiltCon.
