Inspiration

This morning, I found inspiration (or a color story) in the draining rack in my sink. When I take plastic stuff out of the dishwasher, it is often covered in water droplets, so I put in in the draining rack. This is what it looked like this morning.

Where can you find a color story?

I had that same yellow gold strainer and I loved it. One day, when I shook the water out of the pasta and tapped it on the sink, the whole bottom disintegrated and fell into pieces like shrapnel. It was weird and the pasta was ruined. Love the colors!

Today's color story here includes lots of yellow -- we planted mums in the last day or two and their bright cheerfulness is visible from many of our windows. There are also flashes of hot pink from the magnificent mandevilla plants at the rear of the yard. All mixed with a multitude of greens typical for late summer/early fall.

Circles and a rectangle, bright, yellow is always a colour that gives such a lift.

I’m amused to see that other people have as many pieces from Sistema as we do in our household!! My first thought was primary colors but that’s not quite correct. They’re all bright. No muted tones. I don’t often work with bright colors like that. Probably should be my next challenge. Thanks for an inspiring photo.
