Deco Rose, Quilted

Deco Rose, the pink quilt I made for my granddaughter, is back from being quilted.

Here is the quilt with the fabric I have chosen for the binding. I think it's going to look terrific.

My sewing machine is still in the sewing machine "spa", so aside from trimming the quilt of the excess backing and batting and cutting strips for the binding, there's not much I can do but wait.

Looks terrific! I sew with vintage Singers. In particular the 301 which is very fast and makes superb straight stitches. You can get one for not a great deal of money. It will just keep going and going. I clean old Singers for money to support my comfort quilt giveaways and if you keep a 301 on hand, you will always have a great stitching machine ready when the other goes into the shop.

I love the gorgeous pink prints and the back enhances the quilt. It is the best!

Hope your sewing machine hurries home -- spa treatments are necessary but hard when they take so long. GORGEOUS quilt!!!

That polka dotty print will make a great binding! I always lean toward stripes for binding. I need to remember that other geometrics like dots and plaids are also such wonderful choices.
