Let The Chicken Go!

The Chicken quilt flimsy is finished. It's 54" x 80" (137 x 203 cm). I'm pretty sure the title of the quilt is going to be Too Much Chicken.

I'll be taking a few days off while I clean the house and rest. Tell me what you think of this chicken quilt, if you appreciate the humor and can see the jokes. Obviously I'm not "into" traditional quilts.

I like the chicken sandwich. Beautiful and way more work than I would ever attempt.
Nice job,

Love how the "chicken" gets more and more deteriorated as you move to the bottom of the quilt. I am really enjoying the cleverness of this quilt!

LOVE IT AND WISH I COULD OWN IT / YOU HAVE OUT A LOT OF WORK IN THIS BABY. IT IS CLEVER AND AMUSEING. LOTS OF CHICKEN YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER WANT TO SEE THE WORD AGAIN.

Oh my! I so love this quilt and have enjoyed watching its development! I frequently echo the sentiment as we get a roasted Costco chicken for just two of us...and soon we are at the point of LET THE CHICKEN GO! I've taken to freezing half of it as soon as I bring it home now--but I digress. I have a wonderful rooster print that would be great backing for it...and a rooster pantograph, if you would like to let the quilt go!? ;-)

YES! Awesome, inspiring, clever, hysterical, unusual, and completely original! Loooove it! So proud of you! It's been so wonderful to watch this come to life! Enjoy your well-deserved rest...bet you'll be watching a lot of tennis instead of chicken?

Yep, AWESOME is the word. I have loved watching this quilt develop.
Each word quilt seems to be the ultimate in cleverness and then you make another that is just as wonderful and more.

There is so much to see in this quilt and multiple layers of creativity... the colour play, the brilliant word play, the fabric choices (the foxes really make me smile!) and the design elements... amazing!
I so enjoy following your progress and process in creating a masterpiece. I love how you follow your ideas and see where they lead!
Bravo Lynne!

Amazing! I must say I had my doubts a few times as I watched this process. But now that its done I love it!

As I looked and read all the different ways to cook chicken two things came to mind. Picture a little girl looking up at the quilt and saying "Just fried please".

My other thought came to mind... "Tired Chef"

Congratulations on another winner Lynne.

Oh, yeah! It's as spectacular as I'd anticipated. I must confess that I have NO recollection of the inspirational story, however. Any chance for a reHASH?
