This quilt Blu is beautiful... I wonder how quilters package such a treasure to give away? I have bought trunks new and old and placed the quilts in them as gifts. To give such a beauty away deserves special packaging. Don't you think?
This is my favorite of the diamond quilts, the spots of warm just make the blue even more refreshing, like snorkeling in the tropics with all the flashy fish.
How do I wrap it up to gift it? I fold it up, backing out, fold one corner over, and tie it with ribbon or a contrasting fabric scrap. I include a note saying "USE THIS QUILT," with washing instructions, and I include a box of color catchers. Then I stuff if in a clear plastic trash bag to keep it clean, and I put it in a decorative tote bag from like Home Goods or something. Very low tech.
Oh yeah, I wash it first so it is soft and crinkly.
It's lovely! Somebody's going to be happy!
