Barns on Saturday

I'll be teaching a free-pieced barns class on Saturday, at Quilted Threads, based on Julie Sefton's book Build-a-Barn. You can see pictures and get the book here. The class is full and we are going to have a good day.

This is the barn I made for the Colorado Quilt, and it is based on this barn that my brother built.

    Oh, I wish I lived closer to take your class. I have the book, just can't get kick started. I love, love barns. It has always been my dream to have a studio in one, so a fabric barn is probably the closest I will ever get.

    That is a mighty fine looking barn you built and so is the one your brother did too. I've always dreamed of living in a barn with just a huge open space and the only walls would be around the bathroom, but the rest of the house wide open. I love the detail on your brother's barn!
