For the last few days this has been the view into the dining room. Notice the empty walls. I had taken the quilts down to bring to the Concord Piecemaker's Guild for my talk.
They were a great bunch of ladies and I hope we all had a good time. I talked a bit too much (sorry) and as a result the guild's show and tell did not take place. (Really sorry about that, I'dve waited, with pleasure, to see what everyone was making.)
It was an hour's drive home, but at 9:45 at night, the roads are blissfully empty. I set the cruise control and the GPS and stayed in the slow lane for the calming drive home.
At home I was too jumpy to go to bed right away, so I put my quilts back on the walls where they belong.
Yeah, that's better!
Don't the quilts on the walls make a world of difference?!

Quilts DO make a house a home. Hope you get good feedback from those who heard your presentation.
ReplyDeleteLove quilts on walls, your walls or mine. They "just belong" there! Don't remember seeing your hallway quilt before, but like what I do see of it. You always get your quilts done just right in my eyes. Your knowing just what fabrics to use when it comes to colors and design of the fabric really makes a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not to talk too much when it's about quilts.
A quilting friend was picking up a quilt of hers that I quilted. I asked her if it was going to be a wall hanging. She said "no, quilts should not be hung on the walls". Here is my home with quilts hung everywhere that we're standing in and all I could do was smile to myself and think what she is missing. Isn't life grand!
I actually have some open walls now that we are back in the house. I love to see quilts on the walls!
