Did You See That?

Last week the florist delivered this arrangement for our lobby. I was walking down the hall from the other direction, when I noticed something.

I backed up a few steps and looked outside from the lobby and saw this.

Do you see it?

I keep telling you that interesting things are all around you and that you should pay attention when you  notice them. Coincidences are also something to notice.

 Update:
Yes, the shrub on the right is a burning bush. Usually they get a lot redder.  The yellow tree is a Maple tree, but I am not quite sure what kind. It could be a Norway Maple.

  1. p.s. I remember trees turning colors like yours -- here they might get golden and perhaps a pale orange but never scarlet red or brilliant yellow (mostly dull, dry browns). Thanks for sharing the trees of New Hampster!

  2. Tulips and anemones, with Statice? Guess they are glass-house grown. That colour outside, a reflection of the flowers, beautiful.

  3. Do you know the species of the tree and the bright shrub?
There's a common shrub we have in the midwest that we call burning bush, that looks somewhat like the one in the photo, but they're a bit more burgundy colored and has less of an orange cast. I wonder if these are the same plant in different colors or perhaps if the location is the key?
I can't tell what type the tree on the left is. There are several here with the color, but I can't see the leaves well enough to decide what kind of tree it is.

  4. Cathy Quilts, that is indeed a burning bush on the far right. Usually they get a lot redder. The tree is a Maple, but I am not sure which variety. It could be a Norway Maple.
