Red Sticks with Borders

OK, I made all the Red-on-red blocks. I knew adding an inner border would mean I'd have to add a bit to the outermost blocks to accommodate the width of the inner border. No problem in theory, but in practice....

Well, I forgot.  So I had to do a bit of fussy sewing.  You might be able to see where I had to make up for my brain fog. Since the quilt will be mine, I'm not worried about it. I've only got the borders done on three sides, I hope to finish it today.

I'm pretty excited, because it looks really good so far.

  2. Millie was right, then - the black and white for the inner border was the perfect choice.

  6. Love it. With the sticks going every which way, it doesn't matter about the extra pieces. Interesting and vibrant quilt.
