I liked that it had all the colors, and was happy and bright. So here it is quilted:
Gorgeous, stunning, in an all-over celestial sun pattern. I love it.Now, the question of binding. Sure, I can do a WOW. But it would be the fourth white quilt I made with a white binding, and I'm beginning to get that been-there-done-that feeling.
So I have been thinking... why not the same fabric as the backing?
Yes, yes, yes! I've decided to use that fabric as the binding! Thanks, ladies.

It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI think using the same fabric as the backing is a good idea.
Wow Lynne - the piecing, the quilting, and the backing are gorgeous! My vote goes for binding with the same fabric used for the backing. It's so colorful and even reflects that starburst feel of the quilting - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat backing fabric absolutely deserves to be seen on the front!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes..I love that fabric. It would be a perfect binding!
ReplyDeletebeautiful quilting - looks fab!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean, you haven't quite decided yet??!?!?
ReplyDeleteUsing that great back fabric for binding is pretty much a no-brainer.

Just saw on today's (May 12) Writer's Almanac (online at NPR) that today is Katharine Hepburn's birthday, and she's the one who is credited with saying "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!" I hadn't realized it was from her.
