I shifted some of the blues, all three of the reds and two of the purples. I was happy with this. Then I tried to zig zag the design, but I got to this point and decided it didn't bring anything at all to the party, so I put the blocks back.
Again, there's nothing wrong with the zi-zag, it just didn't ring any bells for me.
So now I'll be sewing this together.

Seeing the fabrics close up helps see how vibrant they are vs on your design wall. It takes a lot of time to move blocks around, glad you tried a zig and a zag but quit when it didn’t ring your bell. I made a log cabin quilt with a diagonal line to the edge and then , a third of the way down, diagonal back the other way……AFTER laying out three traditional log cabin patterns.
ReplyDeleteWOW-- what a labor of total LOVE that was, Millie, moving them all around and then--BACK AGAIN!! Holy Moley, girl!!:)))
ReplyDeleteIt really looks beautiful=-nice job on the arrangement--you have such a good "eye" I really think this is beautiful.. hugs, Julierose
Smart to know when to stop and return to the "original" plan . . . this non-ziggy layout is going to be so pretty!
