I believe that a border either contains your design or allows it to flow outward. This light would allow the design to flow, but I'm not sure that is what this quilt needs. There's a lot going on in this quilt.
This fabric contains the design and although the markings are more suggestive of a giraffe than a zebra, I like it.

I hesitate to make a commnent because I cannot see the real quilts. And you always pick the right fabric in the end.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Linda. You always choose the right fabric; you see the quilt in person, not just in a photo which may or may not show the true colors. But my vote, if I had one, would be for the darker giraffe print.
ReplyDeleteOf these two I vote for the giraffish print. It reads better in the larger and close up photo.
ReplyDeleteThe darker print also (to me) seems to help define the chevrons - I'm not sure this design needs to flow outward beyond the actual edges.
ReplyDeleteWhat Quiltdivajulie said. ;)
ReplyDeleteMost definitely the giraffe print. Great quilt Lynne!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this quilt, and your border choice is just perfect.
