These are the fabrics I bought for the Colorado barn block.
I knew I needed more when I set this panel next to the doors and it clearly did not work.
These are some of the fabrics I pulled originally.
Here is why I knew I needed more fabrics. Those grey areas on the front (weathered wood) don't really represent the color of the barn. For a lot of the doors, I used a gold fabric, but I didn't want the doors to disappear in whatever fabric I used for the body of the barn.
And here is a hint:
Having a good sized color photo of your barn is really handy. It's hard to use your cell phone or tablet because they have a tendency to go into sleep mode.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun to translate your brother's barn into fabric. I can see why those greys aren't working although they are lovely. The barn doors are fabulous.
